VSM@Home Online Course
About the Course
VSM@Home is a self paced online course requiring approximately 8 hours of your time.
​
Consisting of 4 Modules, which take approximately 2 hours in total to watch and then complete the worksheets. That's about 1 hour a week.
​
Module 1 - My Fabulous Child
​
We look at your child's strengths, Super-Powers, and the 'trick stuff' in a new way to understand how VSM can help you child.
​
Module 2 - What's the Deal?
​
We begin working out WHY your child does their tricky stuff and how to understand them better. We take a closer look at behaviour and why kids do tricky stuff.
​
Module 3 - Magic Tricks
​
We learn how to do the magic of editing so it looks like your child already does the new skill - this is the fun part!
​
Module 4 - Movie Action
​
We learn how to plan, film, and edit your VSM.

Suggested Self-Paced Timeline
Week 1 - Watch Modules 1 and 2 and do worksheets.​​

Week 2 - Watch Module 3 and 4 and do worksheets.
​
Week 3 - Attend Zoom call and come prepared with questions or ideas.
​
Week 4 - Film and edit your first own VSM and begin showing it to your child.
​
Week 5 - Continue showing VSM and attend Zoom call, to ask questions, to share ideas and report on your VSMing.
​
Week 6 - Make your 2nd VSM and begin to show your child.
​
Week 7 - Continue showing your child the new VSM.
​
Week 8 - ​Create a Movie night and share your best VSM with family and friends.
Private VSM@Home Facebook Group
You will also receive access to our private VSM@Home Facebook group, where we will stay in touch, answer questions, share challenges and triumphs, laugh and cry about what your tricky kid is up to now.

Who's this course for?

Any parent/carer of a child aged between 4 - adult who has tricky behaviours.
​
It is also for a those with HOPE that things can improve and who are ready to empower themselves as parents/carers to make it happen.

Who's a Tricky Child?
​
Your child either goes to a Special School or needs significant support at their school to learn.
You have an NDIS plan or require supported care?
​
Perhaps they have Autism, an ID, significant communication, behavioural or sensory needs that really make life hard sometimes.
​
What can I use VSM to teach?
​
I have seen VSM teach skills from sleeping, toileting, self-care, social skills, getting dressed, communicating, use AAC, eating different food, sitting at the table, play skills, sharing, waiting, asking for help, speaking, walking, ride a bike, cook, have a shower, brush their teeth, feed themselves.
​
And this is just the beginning!

It is safe?
​
Video Self Modelling is an evidence-based practice which means there is loads of research to show that it works and it's safe.
​
It's used in many schools and teachers at University now learn how to do it. Many OT's and Speech Therapists use it too.
​
And now it's your turn to learn VSM too.

VSM@HOME Club
Join our FREE VSM@Home Club Monthly Zoom sessions, where you will receive answers to your VSM questions. Wednesday evenings 8pm - 9pm. (May 10th, June 14th, July 12th, August 9th, September 13th, Oct 11th, Nov 15th and Dec 13th)
Who is this course for? Any parent, carer, teacher, teaching assistant, educational support staff, allied health and therapy professionals, support workers, or tutors of a child aged between 4 - adult who has tricky behaviours. ​
It is also for those with HOPE that things can improve and who are ready to empower themselves to make it happen.
VSM@HOME Private Coaching Package

One on One Private VSM Coaching Session NDIS APPROVED
Cost: $150.00 AU One hour duration.
3 Package One on One Private VSM Coaching Sessions NDIS APPROVED
Cost: $400.00 AU One hour duration per session. To be scheduled at your preferred frequency.
5 Package One on One Private VSM Coaching Sessions NDIS APPROVED
Cost: $650.00.00 AU One hour duration per session. To be scheduled at your preferred frequency.
These sessions are designed to discuss your child in more detail and create a Video Self Modelling plan together.

VSM@HOME Home Visit Package
Home Visit - Outsource the creation of your childs VSM to me NDIS APPROVED
I will work privately with you and your child within your home to develop a series of VSMs to assist your child reach milestones and achieve success.
Issues such as communication, self regulation, toileting, participation in regular family life and routines, dressing, eating and play skills can be addressed with VSM. You can also learn this way to make VSMs yourself as issues arise.
Please note, this option is for Melbourne Metropolitan people only.

Cost: $190.00 AU per hour minimum of 2 hour visits
