My passion is seeing our tricky kids, their families and communities who were experiencing real difficulty come together to develop supportive, collaborative relationships that challenge one another to open up possibilities, come and learn Video Self Modelling, and see their children transform the basic behaviours we take for granted when other methods have had limited effect.
I now work with Schools, Communities, Professionals, Parents and of course those tricky kids through my VSM online courses, Workshops, Events and Speaking Engagements.
VSM@Home
VSM@Home Self Paced Online Course
VSM@Home is a self paced online course requiring approximately 8 hours of your time. Consisting of 4 Modules, which take approximately 2 hours in total to watch and then complete the worksheets. That's about 1 hour a week.
Who is this course for?
Any parent/carer of a child aged between 4 - adult who has tricky behaviours.
It is also for a those with HOPE that things can improve and who are ready to empower themselves as parents/carers to make it happen.
VSM Easy-Peasy Basics
VSM Easy-Peasy Basics Self Paced Online Course
Learn all the basics of making powerful VSM’s. The history, the theories, and research behind it, see real samples of true stories, learn about task analysis, storyboarding, video making, editing, and how to use Video Self Modelling to rapidly change behaviours.
Who is this course for?
Teachers, Educational support staff, teaching assistants, allied health and therapy professionals, support workers, or tutors.
VSM Super-Trouper Professionals
VSM Super-Trouper Professionals Online Course
You will learn all the basics of making powerful VSM’s. We will look at the history, the theories, and research behind it, see real samples of true stories, learn about task analysis, storyboarding, video making, editing, and how to use Video Self Modelling to rapidly change behaviours. This course also includes the content of the VSM Easy-Peasy Basics course.
Additionally, you will also learn about complex behaviours, how to work with the functional cause of the behaviour, data collection, and evidence-based practices beyond Video Self Modelling. This work is grounded in Behaviourist theory and has been successful with complex communication, sensory, and emotional regulation behaviours.
Who is this course for?
This course is for allied health and therapy professionals, support workers, or tutors who want to join my team of recommended professionals to work directly with families making VSM’s. I do not have the time or capacity to work directly with all the families that ask me, so I am building a team of skilled professionals I can confidently recommend to deliver quality VSM services through NDIS or privately.
Workshops
Video Self Modelling
Introduction to VSM. See samples. Learn about the research behind VSM. Learn to make VSM and how to a know what skill to teach by analyzing skills or behaviours and creating replacement behaviours. This workshop is for teachers, therapists and anyone living with or working with people with special needs, such as Autism, Down's Syndrome, intellectual disability or developmental delay; who want to learn to implement a change in behaviour or assist in skill learning. There is no limit on number of participants. Anthea will come to your venue.

The One Hour Workshop
Introduction to Video Self Modelling (VSM)
Introduction to VSM, how it works and how it can be used. This session runs for 1 hour and is for entire groups/staff who want to know more about VSM. Anthea will come to your venue and train your staff. There is no limit on number of participants.

We can work privately with you and your child within your home to develop a series of VSMs to assist your child reach milestones and achieve success. Issues such as communication, self regulation, toileting, participation in regular family life and routines, dressing, eating and play skills can be addressed with VSM. You can also learn this way to make VSMs yourself as issues arise. Please note, this option is for Melbourne Metropolitan people only.
